I don’t know exactly what type of spider this is that lives outside our door. Since Susan was concerned it was some Alabama Jumping Brown Recluse spider, I did a Google search. But the pictures I found of brown recluses looked nothing like this, nor do they spin massive webs like this guy.
The main thing I learned about trying to identify a type of spider is that it’s very difficult and requires getting close enough to see the arrangement of their eight eyes. No thanks, I think I’ll just call this one “Big Spidey.”
