This was shot for Weekly Workout #2: Money Matters (subtitle, “Even the Pennies”) at PixelPile.org. The color was achieved by combining mixed light sources. The bluish highlights on the left are from daylight coming in a window behind to my kitchen tabletop set (I adjusted the curtains to control the volume of light). A tungsten light was placed to the right of camera, and then bounced by a silver card into the face of the standing penny, as well as a tall silver card standing behind the right side of the set, giving that half of the pennies an amber glow.
