While perusing the wine aisle last week, I saw a name on a box that made me do a double take. And when I saw the bottle it contained, I had to bring it home. The label reads:
“There really is no substitute for tradition and experience. Just ask any...
OLD FART
For instance, they'll be quick (well, relatively) to tell you that excellence can't be rushed, especially when it comes to producing a superb wine. They'll also tell you grapes from old vines give a greater concentration of flavor and that traditional methods are best.
But, let's be honest. When was the last time you took any notice of what they had to say? Which is a shame, as this time, they actually know what they're talking about.
BE BOLD GO FOR THE OLD”
If you'd like to buy a print of this image, it may already be on sale at PhotoDude Labs. If it isn't, e-mail me to have it added.

thats brilliant! I need to get me one of them bottles and give to some old farts i know who'd lurrrve it. :))
Where can I buy a bottle of the wine? I saw it at one of my local grocery stores a while ago and I didn't buy it, of course now I want to get a bottle. If you know where I can purchase it, please let me know.
Heather, I bought it at our local Kroger grocery store in Atlanta. But it may have been a fluke. A Google search for "old fart wine" is surprisingly unrevealing, however, I did find this: " A runaway success in Britain, Old Git now also comes in a Reserve and sparkling formats, and has crossed the pond where its known as Old Fart. The wine was deep purple with a super fruity Grenache taste. Christmas presentation packs of Old Git come with a smart talking tie. No Old Git about town should be without one. I never leave home without wearing mine."
They also inform us there is an "Old Tart" as well.
