it's FIFI! Saw her fly in Cleveland a couple years back, it's really quite impressive. Especially when you think about 400 of them winging their way off to somewhere...

It looks like you were using a wide angle lens. The way the size of the wing leading out of frame really emphasizes the size of this aircraft.
Yep, all 1027 Pixel Piles are from my Nikon 990. And I was indeed using the wide angle adaptor in this shot. The field they displayed these planes on was very cluttered, visually, plus it's just a damn big plane. That was the best angle to get a shot of the entire aircraft.
Wow! I just saw Fifi this past weekend. Small world (damn big plane). There was also a B-25 with her too. Not as impressive size-wise and less payload but, they just look like a meaner bird in some ways. Especially the solid-nose ones with the 75 mm left nostril!

John, I think we saw the same tour. I didn't get as many good shots of the B-25, but you'll find "Diamond Lil" on the bottom half of this page. Also got to shoot a Flying Fortress a couple of months back: Page One and Page Two.
