From an entry in my weblog called "Home Folks and the Family Tree", about visiting the site of the long gone Stott family farm that was lost in the Depression:
"The main house, now long gone, sat on a rise where there is now a glorious tree. It's beauty struck me as we drove up, backlit by the setting sun, and as Dad explained that was near where the house used to be, I insisted we stop so I could photograph it as I first saw it. If it was possible for me to have a literal family tree, this is it."
If you'd like to buy a print of this image, it may already be on sale at PhotoDude Labs. If it isn't, e-mail me to have it added.

Great Shot! Did you take it lying flat on the grass? Any filters used?

No filters on camera, but there was some Photoshop work to help bring out shadow detail. I use the Nikon 990, which thankfully means I can shoot at ground level without lying on it.
