I know it may look uncomfortable, but this is one of Bosco's favorite positions (although in front of a mirror is a close second .... he's very vain). What you can't see is the 3rd story window to the left of the frame, allowing him to survey the world in comfortable repose.

This is simply a great photo. I like Bosco's look (a proud, but forlorn, look), and the lighting makes the flag-pillow look like it's in the background, but also omnipresent.

I suspect people rally around the flag because they know it's there, waiting for a time, like now, for it to be rallied around.
