Pixel Pile started on Labor Day, 2000, as a self-test, as one photographer makes the transition from film to digital. The original goal was to extract one interesting, goofy, or kEwL digital image from my Nikon 990 every 24 hours, and post it on the web. A daily hurdle, which says "creativity" on one side, and "discipline" on the other. This was fine for a few months, but then the one picture a day format started cramping my style. Not because of a shortage of images, but because of an overabundance. So now I post four or five pictures at a time. But it may not be every day. At least four times a week, and maybe more if the Photo Gods are favorable.
That's my commitment to you, gentle reader, as you're the only one who comes here. Other than my Dad. Mom don't surf. And my girlfriend says she's seen and heard it all from me before. So, truly, your patronage is appreciated.
