| I can't remember exactly which famous old photographer said it, but some crusty old bastard once claimed that a photographer ought to be able to shoot a portfolio between his front door and his mailbox. Today, I tried. Came up about 16 pictures shy of a portfolio, but I tried. |

| I came here to say what an eye you have, to find a shot like this just
basically out of nowhere. Now I see that it is something you tasked yourself
to do, but my comment still stands. This is a gorgeous, moody, evocative
shot.
Or maybe I just like being depressed :-) Posted by [Pat]

| Many thanks for the kind words, Sir Pat. I have to admit, that's my
Shot of the Week. So far.
Susan couldn't figure out where it was, but she walks by it every
day. At the foot of our 42 steps, there is a largish ugly-ish Georgia
Power utility box. The top has weathered and corroded, and the colors
caught my eye. A surface, lacking a subject. The dead leaf at its base
gave me that. It's not anything special, or high minded. It's the little boy in
me, who's got a secret, and mocks you: "I see stuff you don't see. Nanner,
Nanner." Posted by [PhotoDude]
