The image from which the above was taken was actually shot by Susan while I was driving. But I have cropped and digitally altered the image enough that it qualifies as a new work, thus avoiding any potential copyright lawsuit from her. She can be so litigious.

In the early 80's, there was actually a sign with the first line from the above as you crawled through the mess that was the reconstruction of the interstate. Someone had taped up a cardboard sign with the second part. But in this picture you see the beginnings of Atlantic Station, a 140 acre development on the location of a demolished steel mill next to the downtown connector.
