Sorry, it's another ferris wheel. Visually, I just couldn't pass this up, plus I needed to get my legally required Coca Cola logo in this site somewhere. That's actually the south side of their headquarters building.
Everytime I saw this (the AT& T Pavillion), I was reminded of the scene in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, when they build the complex to welcome the extraterrestrials. I can't say for sure that some didn't come down and mingle with the crowd.
Olympic entertainment didn't have to be expensive, elaborate, or even planned. Sometimes it just appeared in the street before you, as this drum duo did on Techwood Ave. outside Centennial Park.
If it's more elaborate entertainment you want, just down the street this man's "friends" had gotten him nicely plastered, and talked him into riding this gyroscope. Judging by the look on his face, it was a mistake, but I didn't stick around to find out just how big a mistake. There was something much cooler ahead....
